Meet your mentor and trainer Franziska Hoffmann
Have you ever wondered why some people get their dream jobs, even if they may still lack in experience and others are working for years in the same jobs and never get any promotion?
Throughout my career I realised that there are certain skills that most of my bosses had in common and that often it was NOT the most experienced person that would get the job. This is exactly what motivated me to create this program!
But let me introduce myself first: My name is Franziska Hoffmann and I am a former General Manager of a medium sized company, leading 200 employees. People there loved me for being an inspirational and motivational leader.
Have I always been on this success line? No!
I grew up in a working-class family, being the first one that finished high school and got a university degree. My first job I landed in a demanding, international corporation, where I was already given responsibility for more than 3 million turnover and a small team. However, I was not happy in the environment. So I changed into a completely different field that was way more fulfilling to me. It was my dream job, but at one point my dream changed. So I changed the job again, always elevating in my career. For a long time I called myself very lucky to have the chance to get all those great job possibilities. Until at one point I realised that it was a certain skillset that got me where I want to be – over and over again.
My personal story
Through the years I have worked in various settings; in smaller and bigger corporations, in more female and more male dominated environments. Twice I have even led “men only” teams. For the first time in the end of my twenties. I started a new role in Italy and my entire team was male. When I moved, I did not even speak the language fluently and besides all the positive excitement I had for this new challenge, I was more than nervous, if not anxious to lead a team of men that were all older than me, and this in a country that is famous for its machoism. To my surprise I was given respect by these men and succeeded.
The same time I realised that there were less and less women around me, working on the same level. It was all men. Already before that, when I had worked for a company that produces and sells female clothes (lingerie) I realised that the entire top management was male, even though on lower levels there were many women working for the company. So I started wondering, why women are not getting higher.
Working in these different, very female and very male settings, I also saw different behaviours between both genders. Generally both bring different strengths and weaknesses to the table.
I understood that women bring in great value to companies, especially when it comes to teambuilding and employee retention – topics that are highly important in today’s world, where companies are facing difficulties to find and keep talent.
Despite this, I saw that women are still often overlooked when it comes to promotions. So one more time I wondered why.
Why I created this program for you
Driven by the ambition to get women where they deserve to be and to bring gender equality to companies I started researching and digging deeper.
First, I educated myself on typical skills and personality traits of leaders. Then I studied about the reasons why there are less women in leading positions and lastly I started gaining psychological and biological knowledge and investigated on how testosterone and oestrogens influence our behaviours.
In my 8 weeks training “Go, get it!” I put together all my findings and correlations. Moreover, the program reveals all the skillset it needs to elevate. It is packed with practical tools and guidelines to empower women to level up in their careers and to unlock their full potential!
On top of that, I am by their side on their path, answering all questions and giving recommendations in live calls. And because I have learnt that it’s easier with some network and other women on the same path around you, every woman that participates in the training is linked to a group of other like-minded females. Supporting each other means elevating ourselves!
